WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Profitably execute trading strategies based on sound fundamental drivers and risk management principles.
- Assist in market analysis and strategy development across all relevant energy sectors.
- Assist in process and tool development.
- Collaborate with other traders to enhance overall team profitability.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in energy trading, with a focus on electricity markets.
- Demonstration of profitability in the Northeast or Alberta power markets (physical, financial, or virtual markets).
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Comprehensive knowledge of multiple ISOs rules, protocols, and fundamental drivers:
- MISO, SPP, PJM, NYISO, ISONE, IESO, AB
- Proven experience trading futures on ICE and/or virtual products in various ISOs.
- Experience in FTR/TCC analysis and trading is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in using various data services and trading tools.
- Strong team player who actively collaborates with other traders to enhance overall team profitability.
